2018 Oak Ridge Chardonnay
Aromas of acacia flowers and lemon verbena give way to a focused and crisp mineral-laden palate. Fresh acidity is a natural hallmark of this cool climate, alpine vineyard. Notes of beeswax and Linalool accompany varietal typicity through to a persistent finish.
Proudly featuring Columbia Gorge fruit from Chardonnay vines planted in 1984 and 2010. The Oak Ridge Vineyard is certified organic, dry-farmed, and perched in the foothills of Mount Adams. Harvested September 11th.
Gently whole cluster pressed and settled briefly before being racked into barrel where it underwent a long, cool ferment. Matured on fine lees for 13 months in concrete and various formats of neutral oak. Transferred to stainless steel for 3 months before bottling.
This alpine expression of Chardonnay exhibits the cool climate character of the Columbia Gorge. This sleek, fresh, mineral-driven wine has a Chablis-like quality suited for pairing with a variety of cuisine. -Steven Thompson
